Anyone use a magnetic type mount for a radar detector?

Find those mag mounts everywhere these days where its a suction base and you put a mag plate on phone/tablet/etc, has anyone tried this for a radar detector? Seems like it would work. If you are using this please post the brand/style. Tired of the Bel/Escort fancy mounts breaking after a few years, mag option is cheaper and easier to remove the unit. Thanks

I use a BlendMount. Not cheap, but it's high quality. I don't think it's needed an adjustment since I installed it in 2012.
