Steering Issue

Hey there whenever at cold start i turn on the car let it warm up for a 3 min or so.. whenever i want to turn the steering wheel it jerks left or right
it does turn but say im turning 60 degrees to the right or left for example at every 10 to 20 degrees it jerks (i hope that explanation gives u an idea)

i checked ps fluid level is perfect

but after driving for a min or two.. its gone nothing ever happens again steering wheel is smooth but when i max out the turn left or right i do hear a whine

any help?

NB This started 2 days after rod bearings change but my mechanic told me he re added 11s chf ps fluid but i dont knw if thats just a coincidence

Mine did the same thing after I changed my bearings. For me a new belt fixed the issue. The old one was very worn. I guess removing it for the job was enough to stretch it a little to cause it to slip on the pulley.
