Ok, so I have both a thorough run down today. If all you’re interested in is diagnostics then the NT510 is the way to go. It’s much more thorough and allows you to go into each module that it can communicate with, you can reset maintenance intervals, but it offers no coding options. and you can’t do things like registering a new battery.
The Carly (adapter+app with yearly $60 subscription) will give you generalized diagnostics info, will read and clear codes, reset maintenance intervals, register a new battery. But where it shines is the coding options.
If I could only have one, it’d be the Carly adapter.
