Bump for additional info on this for the E63. Sounds like I can add option code $7MA to the VO for the M6 no problem and just need to change a few parameters. Wondering what those parameters are specifically so I can do this?

I've added Mtrack mode to multiple E46 M3s, so the process is relatively similar, just wondering where the differences arise in the process.

Which module is the vehicle type key and production date stored in?

If someone has a detailed procedure, I'd greatly appreciate it so I can see the differences. Thanks

Sorry to resurrect an old thread - has anyone had any luck implementing the Competition MDM on their E60?

I echo the DYI sentiments. Step-by-step for people scared of programming modules like myself. How much would you charge if I have you remotely code this for my car?

2006 E60 M5 with supersprint headers, mid pipe, and muffler without cat. Evolve R stage 3 tune.

Step 1 would be to get all the software tho, which is 90% of the pain. Once you have all the software then it's not that bad. NCS for dummies has a nice PDF describing the steps for programming in general.

Do you have cable and software to code the car? I don't mind spending some time helping with this.

Well I suppose that is somewhat reassuring, as I already have the software and cable (I purchased it as a bundle off ebay a few years back to diagnose the SLS on my E53). However, I have only used Tool32 and INPA before, never NCS. Is there something benign I can 'play' with in NCS to get myself started, or do you recommend just following the PDF?
