Yeah...I'm also on a base Dinan tune -- WITHOUT a tune for my headers. Garry is on an Evolve tune WITH his headers. I still don't have a tune for my headers -- undecided where to send my money.

What does it mean? Nothing really -- too many variables. Anything and everything happens in the real world. I was at the track the other day and had an e46 on R-comps drive right around me. I also had an SMG e60 m5 try to keep up, but all he did was disappear in my rear window. Good thing the SMG is suited for track use...

I got stuck behind a slower e46, when the e60 caught up with me...As soon as we cleared traffic, I was gone.

Call me a skeptic, but I'm still finding it very hard to believe that 54whp can be picked up from a tune alone (no offense to Damen or Bren tuning)!

We all know there are multiple variables and factors that come into play with different dyno machines thus affecting whp numbers. That being said, we need more 3rd party dyno numbers (and real-world track data; trap speeds, acceleration times, etc.) to actually compare the data and come to a conclusion regarding this tune. As we know, almost all of the other tunes, that have been around for years (eg, Evolve, ESS, etc.), have posted gains of ~20-25whp backed up with 3rd party data, etc.

I'm still not buying into Bren's tune just quite yet.

Again, no offense to Damen or Bren tuning.

Just my two cents!

I think its healthy to be skeptical-I think the 54hp gain was with headers added...

I'd like to see the vendor set up a trusted forum member with the tune who has the right equipment to verify these gains we're hearing about.
I'd be very interested if the 15-20 whp gains over our current tunes were a reality, and so would many others i presume.
It'd be the best marketing dollars ever spent.

Thx

He's running stock headers (with primary cats); another reason I can't wrap my head around these numbers!

Yeah, that is a lot for sure! I don't want to insult anyone either but that would be unheard of.

as stated before guys, i have no affilation with bren tuning nor hill's garage. all i did was what bren asked for anyone to do, that is get the tune and take it to a 3rd party shop and run before and after numbers. anyone is free to call hill's garage and ask them was there anything different done from the pre tune numbers to their dyno. nothing was done different to my car. anyone is welcome to come check my car for headers, cat delete or any other mod that they believe was added to the car.

what's not talked about is how bren was able to make 20-25hp on another car which had another tune already on it. therefore, if that original tune made 20-25hp on that car that means that the gains they were able to achieve are on point with what i was able to achieve.

no offense taken but please don't assume that i added mods to the car from pre tune to post tune dyno runs. it is what it is, i don't make a dime from any kit sold so there is no need for me to lie about what the car put out. i have video of the dyno pulls back to back posting 3-4 runs putting up 485+ hp numbers.

Damen;
No offense taken...I think most of us are a little incredulous at the gains and there's pretty good precedent to be thinking that way. I for one would love to purchase the tune if it showed another 15-20whp in gains over my current tune.

If it was happening all over the country with some long time forum members well, there's a trend then. I think many of us are suspicious of dyno results from one garage, and would like to see more results is all.

Thx

Bill i totally understand how most can feel that way but i say call/email bren and ask him if he's willing to allow u to return the tune if u are not 100% happy with the gains. Then u have nothing to lose. That's what made me purchase the tune.

I even had stock wheels on the car for both runs.

I think they should float a tune to 5Soko-he's on the East Coast and has the VBox and whatever to measure the results...
It would be really good for all of us to see and Bren would stand a shot at selling lots of tunes to upgrade our old, obsolete stuff.
