E60 M5 Evolve or Active Autowerks Alpha N tune

I just want mere kick out of my car and have given up on headers at this point. Anyone have any experience with the Evolve or Active Autowerks Alpha N tunes. Thinking about pulling the trigger next week when Im off. I live in colorado so worried about alpha N and the altitude.

Alpha N and altitude works fine. I have the Evolve tune and recently went to 7000ft, performed perfect. I live at 4100 and it doesnt feel any different than with MAF's in that sense.

Why not just the regular tune? There is no additional performance gains to be had with Alpha N.

I just got the AA Alpha N Tune & Exhaust and love it. I live in the South. Therefore, I don't have anything to say about the altitude. I can tell you that with the AA Exhaust and Tune I have 420 HP to the wheels. I think that is abut 30 plus better than stock. I am very happy with the results. There are a lot of board members that will also support the Evolve Tune. They seem to be more active on our board.

Both I'm sure deliver results. I'm personally getting evolve because I know other board members locally that have it and love it. if you do a quick search I'm sure you can find many threads on this subject. I'm 99% sure there are more evolve users than other competitors.

Was there a specific reason you gave up on headers? They are really amazing with the S85 platform.

not looking for headers anymore

Well, I have visited several shops in Denver and by the time you purchase headers, get them installed and a tune, you are over 6k easily. I figure since I only drive my car on Sunday, its not worth it. 30hp and 6k doesn't make sense to me. besides, I am getting tired of shifting gears and may just sell this one next year and find a 2010 SMG.

AA's mustang dyno reads low. For example my turbo m3 back in the day did 389rwhp on their mustang dyno but when i dyno'd on a dynojet it did 456rwhp as well a superflow dyno.
