Who did your bearings? Somebody painted or sanded those down... There's no way they come out like that.

I do not think that the bottom of the engine was ever taken apart (there were no obvious signs). Having said that, I do not know, I am the third owner.

Mine at 90k miles looked very similar, bottom ones even better. Previous owner kept 15k oil replacement intervals, I will do 5k max.

No, I gambled and things have been fine so far. I did the bearings and lots of other maintenance.

2007 M5 6 speed. 101k miles on the clock.

Liquid Molly 10w60 every 5k miles or once a year whichever first.

I wait for cold start to finish and keep it under 3.5 rpm until close to 210 C every drive. Beat the piss out of it once its up to temp.

No copper showing at all, the red is all assembly lube.

They did come out like this. I took them out myself and took the pictures.
