12.5 MM H&R Spacers

Hey guys, I just intalled a set of H&R 12.5mm spacers on my car this weekend and Ive noticed some slight rubbing when Ive hit some bumps that have compressed the front suspension. Im running 30mm sport spings so the car definately sits lower then stock. Does anyone else have this same issue with this size spacers? Ive read a few threads and it sounded like most people were running this size without any issues at all. FYI, Im running stock wheels/tires.

Thanks

I'm running H&R springs with 12.5mm TMS spacers all around on stock 166s and Conti's. No problems at all even with four adults and luggage in the back.

Which tires are you running? I've heard that because the Hankooks are slightly more square on the corners they have a tendency to rub. Never heard about that issue with Michelin or Continentals.

I am running these spacers all around stock suspension no rubbing, you may have to go to 10mm in the front with your spring setup.

1+ I too have no issues. Kendall I think it may be rubbing because of your lowered springs.

Im running the OEM Conti's as well. Im going to have to put it up on the rack and see if it is rubbing and were so I can decide how to make the change.

Kendall, what conclusion did you come to? I has 12mm and 15mm when I was stock. After I installed the H&R sport springs they had to come off. Itís confusing because you hear such mixed experiences, and once you have installed spacers you canít return them for another size.

Iím on stock m5 wheels, Contiís and H&R sport springs and the offsets harsh... I need to get spacers in there but now donít have a clue if I now need 10mm or 12mm. Then is it 10mm in the back and 12mm in the front. Or vice versa, or is 10mm all around the way to go with this config.

Let me know what you ended up doing please.
