Ah ok. I've always complained how jerky the shifts are as well as to always click it up to s5 mode so this may be a good upgrade.

Does this module also hold the # of times the cars been launched? If so does flashing it reset this figure?

I foresee a worldwide clutch shortage coming! Hah!

Subscrided.

I would want to know the file source is not corrupt. To down load a virus would be painfull!

All is well so far. Still too much rain for a launch vid here in Southeastern PA.

Awesome, I already have cable + NCSExpert - Doing it this weekend!!!!

What do you guys think about the warranty? Will this void it? I mean, we're putting authentic M5 software in the car.....

I'm willing to bet that unless any clutch/transmission warranty issue gets 'elevated' to BMW NA, no one's gonna check what software version you're running. Most stealerships just plug the car in, and their computers automatically update whatever software is on the car.

That being said - My warranty expired in December.

I see a couple of vague instructions in the pdf:

Using DIS or INPA clear any codes that may be stored in any modules.
10. Start the car and enjoy your improved shifts! You may need to run the SMG adaption procedures

Well, I have ordered the cable. And I think I have all the right software! I'm excited to try! If it all works out I'll try to upload or post links to the downloads

You're gonna love it! I like it so much, i just started reading ///power's thread about transmission removal DIY! Just because i know it's coming. Only have 54K on the car, and maybe ~20K miles on the clutch... but it's comin... sooner or later... And the new LC is SO MUCH FUN!

Where on idrive do I go to see which software version I am running..

Also, how does the launch control work? Does it add another menu item to idrive?
