On line petition? What, and send it to BMWNA?

Those askwipes have essentially jerked the OP around then flat out LIED to him and say "oh you misunderstood". Lied. Not, "sir it is really a dealer matter", but actually actively played him. Sure, maybe they got ahead of themselves...but they lied.

Just sue the bastards. I know there are many here that would otherwise decry the ruin of america by lawyers- but can anyone tell me what will make Autobahn behave? (And by 'behave' I mean not joyride, be honest, and promptly pay full value for their damage- not stick the owner with an insurer who is going to screw him over)

And who are the owers of autobahn? Not american I take it...

Hey Ard,

If we do one, I am pretty sure someone important at BMW USA will be made aware that there are thousands of BMW owners (the number of people that I antcipate) not pleased with how this dealer and BMW USA handled this problem.

BMW should be very concerned.

The real question is what is the purpose of the petition? What are we asking for? THis question can really only be answered by tjav8b.

I don't mind organizing us. All for one and One for All.

My wife and I have been following this from the outset and we are aghast at the response from BMWNA. We are very concerned for our relationships with our Canadian dealerships and hope they are learning from Autobahn's poor decision examples....but what better way to express our concern than by signing the petition - we are in.

If your comment is based on the words "foreign corporation" in the filing, it is just as likely to be that it is a corporation "foreign" to Texas (not the U.S.). We have that notion here in Hawaii. For example you might be a Delaware corporation doing business in Hawaii, etc.

Either way, their business practices are the issue, not their corporate or personal origin.

As already mentioned, it is rather amazing the lack of response from BMW NA.
The customer base for M cars is relatively small and knowledgeable.
The silence from the crash dealership is also deafening and damning.
I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of the F10 M5, but this whole episode has left a very negative aftertaste.
If there is not an adequate response from BMW NA about this whole matter, I will seriously reconsider my plans.
Given the competitive arena of this market, I am now seriously considering an AMG for my next ride...

Oh, yes, you can count me in for the petition as well...

Ugh. Just checking in on the status of this situation for the past 6 weeks is getting tiring. OP I can't imagine how this has been wearing on you. Good luck with the lawsuit. I think for my next car I might just restore a 1970 Trans Am and perform my own maintenance so I can only blame myself in the event it gets wrecked during an oil change...

Here to keep the legacy of parkcitytom alive
