+1 Completely agree. If he was adding to the discourse, providing information, and simply expressing a difference of opinion, I would be all with keeping him.

That said, he was only here to distract from the discussion and sew dissent. Perfectly legit ban, regardless of opinion. Remember, some really valued members here have had a temporary ban for man of the same things, and they are really really valued.

Exactly the right call.

I respectfully disagree, he should not have been banned

I did not see any posts that constituted a breach of terms of use. I think he just wanted to play devil's advocate.

I didn't mind him, he seems to have had a pro-dealer mindset for quite some time on other boards.

It is a one week ban from what he posted on bimmerfest. He succeeded in playing the martyr, that's for sure...

This is because a number of his posts had to be deleted by moderators. He was warned, warned again, and then banned. We disagree, but lets do so in an Off Topic thread. Remember:

The OP had a beautiful M5
The dealer wrecked it
No adequate reparations have been made

We should waste none of the space on this high visibility thread discussing process.

Cheers.

I didn't agree with his opinions on the matter but also didn't think he should be banned. Seems like the reason was that he kept the thread off track and we're supposed to just keep this topic factual with info related to the OP's problem but then that would mean the last 8 or 9 posts including this one of mine should all be deleted and the posters warned as well.

On the surface bimmer1guy was defending the crash dealer, but that might not have been his ultimate goal
What better way to incite hate against the crash dealer, than to accuse the OP of lying (also add some name calling, politics and religion)

Has anyone heard any news from the OP?
He's been pretty quiet lately.

He was provoking the ban...hoping for the ban...and got the ban he wanted...

As far as free speech goes, remember that here in the US, 1A reads "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"

This a PRIVATE forum...owned by Gustav, his rules...the government cannot stop stop me from saying the "obama is a socialist" or "bush is war monger"...but Gustav can
