US Court dates get postponed for many reasons, and happens very often. The judge can delay, and either party can delay. In some circumstances a date may not be postponed.. such as if there is a set trial date and the judge puts in an order stating that both parties, defendant and plaintiff, cannot postpone the set date.

It is extremely common for cases to reach one year. Very often the case will reach two years, and 3+ happens as well.

Civil cases get delayed all the time Gustav, sometimes its just a matter of a backlog, or sometimes (as in my case) the Judge kindly but firmly tells both parties to try and iron this out before the next court date....not uncommon to have both parties make it to the courtroom and prior to the start of the trial they come to some agreement....though I'm thinking at this point Tom will be seeing a trial.

"I don’t find a Google Place Page but I do find a thread on a BMW Forum from a very unhappy customer that was 5 links down on my Google search."

I finally decided to go to the BMW dealer that was closest to me out of sheer convenience. All went well and I had a phenomenal experience and will definitely be back to service my car there….or will I? You will soon find out that I am now thinking twice about servicing my vehicle at said dealership.

The tale of my (almost) lost sale ? social media at it?s best and worst. | Marc McGurren | DrivingSales

That brings us now back to the reality of the situation. In twelve months this thread on a fairly small BMW forum now has over 840,000 views and close to 1,600 comments! I haven’t read all 1,591 comments but what I have seen is something a case study could be written about.

This small community of BMW and M5 owners have literally changed the way this dealership does business. These are passionate people. They have nothing in common besides their love for BMW’s and their disdain for how their “friend” has allegedly been treated at this dealership.

They have banded together to let the World Wide Web know of this dealer’s alleged doings (or lack thereof). They have forced the dealer to not have a Google Place page due to this community destroying their reviews every time the dealer has tried to put their place page back up.

Interesting since most of the comments on this page come from a dealer's perspective.

I just left a simple comment on that site as "Andy Rupert" fails to read the story about the M5 crash and immediately blames customer.

Some people are too lazy to read and provide educated opinions.

Also, he missed the check part where Autobah noffered a check in order to resolve it, however that was not the complete story...

just read the whole article, seems to try and be unbiased, but slanted in the dealers favor.

+1 on the comment from that Andy guy. Instead of being lazy, he needs to do some reading, stop making assumptions, and blaming the victim.

Thank you for the link Gustav.

As an old AP editor said, "You can't talk yourself out of something that you behaved yourself into." It would be a mistake to take the Autobahn case as an example of a social media failure on the part of the dealer. The right interpretation is that bad behaviors beget bad reputations - the outlet in this example just happened to be social media. If you avoid the "doing bad," people will largely refrain from reporting on you for being bad.

Considering the venue - a social media site for car dealers - I'd say that this is just about as good a post as you could possibly expect. If you were in the corporate reputation business (more than all of us already are), you would read this as, "Our own guys say we screwed up." Yikes.
