I just read through the first 35 pages then realized there were 151 not 51 total pages in this thread! Can't read anymore lol. Its a corrupt system for sure. Everytime I get my car back from the dealer there is at least an additional 25 miles on it and the average fuel consumption has gone down .5 mpg (a few thousand mile average I might add). And this is at the most reputable dealer around. I still fear dropping off the M at the dealer. This story makes it worse. Every time I pick it up I give it a thorough inspection. Best of luck and much respect to you for sticking it out. Once the courtroom process begins I suspect they'll all of a sudden become interested in settling.

The poor M5!

I'd have a hard time not seeking vengence on the guilty party through illegal means and damage to property . But that's me and with a lawsuit in process that wouldn't be the best idea lol.

I just hope you get a fair amount of compensation when this is all over with.

Refresh my memory- was this vehicle considered "totalled" by the Second opinion dealership. I know they found 30K plus damage- but if they determined the vehicle to be totalled, I would assume the OP has a bullet proof case. Having the original dealer trying to fix a car that is totalled without disclosing that information would seem pretty defamatory.

While we are waiting for OP to get back to us- I'd like to think there is some sort of correlation to # of views of this thread to loss of revenue for the dealer for not doing the right thing up front.

What do you guys think? 750k views = $250K loss revenue. I hope thats conservative!!!! LOL.

Keep up the good fight OP!

I'm proud to say I've shared my opinion with dozens of people- anytime that "buying a new car" is brought up in conversation. I know for a fact that I have steered at least $250k in sales to other dealerships in the DFW market. I have friends in the Lone Star Chapter of the BMWCCA that take all thier business to Moritz BMW in Arlington or even Classic BMW or BMW of Dallas, even though they could practically walk to Autobahn BMW on White Settlement Rd. in Fort Worth. Considering that Autobahn also sells VW, Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volvo, and this thread has been linked to on dozens of enthusiast forums, I am certain they would have saved money simply replacing the car they crashed with a brand new M5.

Did I miss any key words?

They will pay. I've even thought of registering Autobahnsucks.com but I think it's better that all the comments end up here.

I would love to know what ever happened? its been like a year, I can feel the cringing anger and it's not even my car, I would be so freaking mad, if some P.O.S tech, who probably didnt grad high school, decided his broke *** would take my car out for a spin, ooo im burnt up just reading it. but anyways, did this ever get resolved, I stoped reading after page 35, may read on later but dang.

idk, man, some people just see the whole dealership crap, nobody likes auto mechanics, let alone the overpriced dealers, the m5 also is mid level in terms of exotic, if I was on that jury and saw someone with a 300K car like a lambo this happend to id be just as pissed some POS tech drove it at all lol.

Id bet he'll win at least more than the inital offer if not the max

...because it would be much less upsetting if it was wrecked by the dealership's general manager who holds a bachelor's degree.

Updated Trial Date

This will not shock anyone but the trial has been pushed to September 19th. This will be over 13 months after the crash date!
Thanks to everyone for keeping up with the story.
