Gl on your case. These are the reasons ppl use the term "stealership" and these guys live up to that name.

Bummer! Thats what is wrong with our country's business ethics. We leavit to the insurance policies and the lawyers to create a agreeable solution. The dealership should take personal accountability and make the car owner whole plus one.

To the stealership - we're not going to forget or let this injustice slip away.

Tommy hang in there. I bet that the judge will not be happy that no further negotiations have been especially since the only legal issues is damages.

Insurance companies are not stupid or generous!

Responsible, yes, "totally covered by insurance", dunno. If the insurance company can claim/prove that the dealership management was negligent and knowingly allowed the employee to joy ride in the car (perhaps they knew about this sort of thing in the past and did not stop it), their insurer may drag their feet on paying. But that's the dealership's problem, not Tommy's.

Good thought; one can only hope the dealer feels some actual pain.

Wow, it's still on the front page of M5 board! I notice Jalopnik had an update today on the Gallardo guy that got broken by the dealer that continues to claim no fault (thus linking to here in a roundabout way). I know the dealership group being dealt with here is big, but damn they are not too big to fail on the internet. The message I get from Googling "BMW M5 Texas Dealer" is to buy your car from Elite Motorsports if you happen to live in that state.

Well for those of you interested the gentleman with the issue of the smashed gallardo has been resolved. The dealer resolved the issue before the bad press went to an extreme as it has in this case and most of the delays were caused by the insurance company. I'm pretty sure that this story here may have also had an impact seeing that this story has circulated quite a bit already and other dealers may want to handle things better than fort worth has. Tommy I hope your situation gets resolved soon as this is dragging out now and has become quite rediculous. How are you getting around are you using a rental?
