Yeah after re-reading that post this all adding up to the point where I guess anything else is denial that this is not Josh. I find myself hoping Josh would pop-in with a reply and I don't know what difference that makes as 5 young men died and did not have to. I feel as if I somehow know Josh and he seems like a nice young man, but only from the one post I read. Immaturity at that age is expected and should be taken into account, somehow. However, we all need to take it down a notch regardless of age. Some of the videos I see on the M5 on the internet are just stupid. Take it to the track and be the responsible driver you should be if you are responsible enough to be successful enough to own a car like this. It is unrealistic to think that we are not going to enjoy the power of our cars. Where to draw the line, I would think, would be common sense and I don't think common sense is approaching 200mph on public roads with passengers aboard or taking a nice car like this and spinning donuts until the rubber comes off.

We should all take time to say a prayer for Josh, his friends and their families as I am sure much of us already have.
PLEASE drive safely… I think some members were trying to say that to Josh.

Why would a parent buy an eighteen year old a 500hp car? Eighteen means you are still immature! I think he was set up for disaster. The tragedy here is he took four other young lives with him. Probably drinking involved. A truely ridiculous accident. I pray for them all.

My prayers are with josh and his family as well. Being that I am 21 and going on my second M5 i know the temptation is great and sometimes hard to handle at that age. I just thank god that i have learned to drive in a more careful manner and have all eyes focused on the road. This is a very serious car with extraordinar performance, i have learned to respect it because there is a VERY, VERY thin line between losing it and keeping it on the road.

Enjoy life while it lasts!

This is such a tragedy. I am very upset by this.

Why was he allowed to drive it on a goodam runway at 3AM? Maybe some of the authorites might like to answer that.

Out on the road he could have taken his chances. We cant do much about that. We can control other environments though.

These cars are not designed for airstrips. Planes are for that.

Still paying for my M5, despite the fact it has a new owner..

I think you should consider changing your tag-line then.

One question, what is up with South Florida and kids having these expensive cars? You said this is your second M5? if you don't mind...what exactly do you do? when I was 21 I was getting a commision in the Marines and had a Jeep....used!

I am going on my 4th year as a finance manager at a ford dealership. I purchased my first M car at age of 18 it was a 2005 M3 and went on to some other models before deciding BMW was my home. My cars were not gifts or bought my mommy or daddy. Just alot of hard work and a great appreciation of nice cars. I broke six figures for the first time at the age of 18 so that explains how i can afford this car. Most young people with nice cars at these ages dont really have a respect or appreciation for them because its was basically free to them. Not me, I work hard for every single thing i have. I think i am the exception to the rule though as most kids are given a nice ride, I on the other hand value my hard work to such a degree that i think twice about doing things that seem like fun but are in reality stupid. BTW as regards to the tag line i beleiev you are correct i put it there as a joke but it doesnt sound so funny anymore.

Enjoy life while it lasts!
