I've had good experience with Mercury for our 540iT, but they won't warranty an M5 in California Maybe your'll be more fortunate in WA.

-Mercury doesn't sell policies direct to the public. You have to buy from an agent, so the names will vary. But the coverage and claims process will still be through Mercury. Call Mercury and get a reference in your area.

Thumbs down Warranty America

I purchased my warranty through this web site.

http://aaautowarranty.com/WAContract.asp

I've had three claims with no problems. I had the bumper to bumper policy with a $100 deductible. My car had 46,000 when I purchased. My coverage was 3 yrs and to 75,000 miles for about $1950.

My car is in the shop now for a hesitation issue. 74,750 miles so I hope it's covered.

That's my opinion, although I might not agree with it.

I have Warranty America (also through aaautowarranty.com) - 4 year/ 60,000 mile platinum coverage + GPS package for $2900 ($50 deductible). Coverage seems to be very thorough... I'm taking my car in next week for my first claim (AC not cold, power steering leak) so I'll let ya know how it goes.

Car is in today... as for ac, car was low on freon (warranty wont cover) and an auxillary fan is not working right (said its covered). The leak in the power steering is at one of the hose fittings (which I dont believe will be covered) and I'm also having them replace the trunk latch which isnt working (covered). They also said they have to hit me with a diagnostics charge for the ac fan issue... sweating it out until I get the final bill. Will let ya know.

Just becareful with aa as mods to the car will void the warranty. I was going to buy their warranty last week and asked about mods. Did you know upgrading the suspension will void the entire warranty???
