ARC-8 fitment issue with BC coils.

Hey guys, so I picked up a square set of ARC-8’s 18x9.5 ET22 running 275/35/18 continental extreme sports tires. The car is fitted with BC coilovers that are just moderately lowered at the moment. So for initial fitment the rears went on without an issue but something weird is going on at the front. I can get the passenger side mounted up but it slightly rubs the shock body. For the drivers side I can’t even get the wheel flush on the hub to mount because it’s hitting the shock body. What’s causing the difference between the sides ?

damn...Apex is in a pickle now because they usually only produce the E39 wheels when a bunch of people agree to a group buy. Are you running 3mm spacers up front? I am not an expert with the APEX wheels but 9.5" style 65s require a 3mm spacer at least up front, depending on the coilover brand. I have had both BCs and Ground Controls, and the Ground Controls offer more room when optioned with extra clearance.

Well, a good machine shop can bore the hub. I don't like it but it can be done. How did Apex end up with THREE wheels, I wonder?

That’s a good question, when I initially contacted them about it they were very aloof and were kinda stumped in how they were gonna fix the issue. I was the one that brought up having the wheel machined. Not a good experience with them personally.

Just make sure they bore it deep enough. Just bring an examplar wheel in and say you want this one to be enlarged to match this one.
