IF you have a standard USB to K+DCAN cable, download BMWFlash and you can download and reflash the dme.

If just want to use a gui to modify things, download @MartynT modification tool

Thank you for the info. I need to educate myself better on this subject before I do anything.

Unless the bin mod tool as been updated, it will turn off the SES for the SAP, but doesn't set the monitor to ready. This may or may not matter in your state (but does in CA)

Correct.
In my particular county in TN all of the monitors have to be ready that are applicable. The question is and as mentioned in some threads, some emissions stations may or may not have the info what's come from factory on particular model.
I've read where a person in MA I think was able to set particular monitor to not applicable but the car still failed because the station had the info in their system that particular had to have that monitor ready.

The person in MA did it wrong then. Setting the monitor ready is trivial.
