Seat heater/rear sun shade fuse

So I had repaired the rear sunshade, but to my disappointment it's unusable because the fuse keeps blowing.
I read somewhere that this is maybe because the heating pad inside either seat has a short.
I'm not interested in using or repairing the heater element, the car is for summer duty only.
Can the heater be disconnected somewhere to prevent the fuse from being blown?

I don't know. But I would think if the seat heater is off, the short wouldn't matter. The circuit is not engaged. Same as disconnected.

Did you check the fuse chart in the glovebox to confirm they are on the same circuit? I would be surprised only because the seat heaters would draw a fair amount of power and they could be run at the same time as the rear shade.

I believe the rear fuse chart labels have been posted here somewhere (right hand side of trunk, behind the panel). Perhaps in connection with the fuel pump relay threads.

Regards,
Jerry
