Unhappy Doors keep unlocking!

So, I damaged the key fob button (long story) and the buttons don't work "reliably" anymore. Now when I lock the door from the outside using the key in the key hole, old school way, all the locks automatically unlock as soon as I turn the key back to the neutral position.

I thought that the lock button on the key fob is being permanently pressed, but then I used to the second key fob, which has been dead for years, and I get the same behavior! I made sure the first key fob is out of range.

Oh also, if I keep trying to lock the car by turning the key, after the 4-5th attempt all the windows roll down. I thought that only happened if you pressed the unlocked button on the fob for a few seconds?

Any idea what could be happening here?

No one? I noticed that it unlocks as soon as it hits the neutral position...tried to move the key really slowly and made sure it doesn't move to the left side (unlock side) when I stop rotating.

Sorry, can’t help you with your problem, but yes you can open all the windows using the key in the door.

See page 32 of the manual-

I guess that's pretty definitive.

IIRC you can code the windows to auto down by holding the key, it sounds like you have a bad gateway module or it's going bad. I believe there are some tests that you can do with it in inpa.

Pretty sure locking is controlled by the GM or general module, but my memory is so bad hard to know. I did check some of my notes and they confirmed that. I would suggest you do a search of the general module and confirm it is what controls the locks.
You likely have some body codes to go with that fault so report all your codes from INPA and state what module they come from.
