Arrow ESS VT1-560 Supercharger Before & After Dyno Runs

Just wanted to share, I never got the chance to post this and figured you folks would benefit from the info.

All in all, very satisfied with the kit. Best bang for the buck for the S62 engine IMHO.

Runs did at same shop (EQ Tuning) on same Dynocom unit. According to the shop, Dynocoms reads about 15% lower than a Dynojet.

Correction Factor (bhp): 15% for dynojet disparity, another 15% for drivetrain loss.

Baseline run
124k miles, stock except CAI and muffler delete.
Averaging the 3 runs puts it at 301whp. Corrected with the above method would make it effectively 398.07bhp

Supercharged run
140k miles, ESS VT1-560, 91 octane, 7k rev limit
Averaging the 3 runs puts it at 410.46 whp. After correction - 542.84bhp

(averages of 3 runs)
before -301whp / 304.33wtq
after - 410.46 whp / 366 wtq

Deltas
gain - 109.46 whp / 61.67 wtq

ESS advertises kit at 552bhp / 460 btq
Stock S62 produces - 394 bhp / 369 btq

Sea level is good, but not here, not now. 6" of snow yesterday, with a bit more today. Trees down from the weight of the snow. Three more days coming with heavier snow. 10 day forecast has rain/snow almost every day with temps not getting above the mid thirties, so the snow will stick around and become very icy.. Those living in snow country are probably giggling about this, but this area is not set up for this amount of snow. And when it turns to ice because of the cold and the water content of the snow, watch out.

So my M5 sits, my Audi RS4 convertible sits, and I have been trying to look at a second M5 to have as a daily driver, but that will not happen until this crap goes away.

Sorry to hear about the rod knock and the issue with keys. Some times you are the bug, sometimes the windshield. Good luck with everything.

Very very nice,,I guess not intercooled am l rights here?
My evolve kit intercooled put 470 whp and 425 wtq at the same temp you did your Dyno 69.4F.
Cold weather make a big difference in performance.
In summer with 104F I barley make 450 whp maybe less,,,same octan 91

Thank you.

it was about right after correction factor, if we're talking bhp and deltas. The dynojet graph they provide on their site claiming 500whp is somewhat misleading, however.

yes, not intercooled. stock 96mm pulley at about 6.5 psi. Heat soak is a significant issue with these kits, as you can see with the subsequent runs and drop in power. I noticed the car being very sluggish in hot weather as well from my butt dyno.

Do you plan on returning to stock every other year? I'd like to look into the ESS kit, but CA smog makes it difficult.
