Slim is not some huge company, he is very small and produces things by hand. Not that this is an excuse but has had some health issues. He never started building things for us to make a huge profit, he did it more to service us and give us cool things. Ever since his health issues the production is not the same, but so be it. If you did your research you would know.

Take it or leave it, you don't like what he sent you send it back, but don't come here and complain about it. All you had to do was read some posts here to understand what might be going on.

For the support he has given this community, he is deserved of some understanding and support.
I'm not the one who purchased the product. I chose to speak up because I believe everyone has a right to voice their opinion in a respectful way. It shouldn't matter that the majority doesn't agree, or it's someone's friend. Sounds like political correctness or censorship.....is this really what we want? I prefer objectivity.

I for one think that a vendor should supply the product in the exact same shape it's advertised as, if not it's misrepresentation.
It doesn't matter that the holes or finish do or do not not make sense from installation perspective.
Also, vendors' long standing history and support should not mean immunity from criticism.

Have you been reading the content? I gave him a chance first off. It is obvious the OP is acting with malice and not opinion. We have still not seen even a glimpse of what the top of the lip looks like. Can you grasp that amount of indignation that we are 8 pages into a complaint and he show imperfections of a bottom of a lip and plays the..... yes they are game. Then we get a marketing photo of a fiberglass lip ..... which I might add, shows primer.

I like dealing with facts..... not the indignant bellows of someone with an agenda. How can you provide customer service to someone who has an ulterior motive. You can't.

Should it have holes? I'd say yes or a disclaimer. I bet with the poly lip, many want to tap them both at the same time. Was the manufacturer given time to rectify the issues before OP posted JUNK? NO.

The OP is not quick to react. He acts with malice and an agenda.

I'm not defending the vendor as much as reading the pulse of the OP and I don't see a shred of honesty on his part.

ie..... T O O L

I'm not defending the manner in which the OP reacted to his disappointment. Clearly, conflict is an expected result...I'm not sure about the conspiracy theory though.
I think it's just personality.

This could have been an opportunity to improve a product or vendor service. You know, a product (or vendor) review. Tons of those threads exist here. They are welcome.

This is not what this is. This is a person who just wants to complain and get some attention. I hope they can find a prepared and painted lip ready for installation with 13 pre-drilled holes that line up with non-existent holes in the M5 bumper for less than $300.

That wasn't what this was? I thought it was until a bunch of you whiney Slimmbones friends club kids came in here and told me what a terrible person I am for being unhappy with a poor quality part. I don't mind paying money for a good part, it's what the quality doesn't match the price tag that pisses me off. I sold the lip. This is done. You have defended your friend's honor.

I have no idea who kpeng or slimbones are. But I have been around enough to know that lip in the pictures at the beginning of the thread looks to be very subpar quality, regardless of the price. And long-time members giving **** to new guy for voicing his opinion looks really bad, right or wrong.

I see you're one of the people on E46fanatics who thought I ran over the Jersey Shore girl lol. That wasn't me, I merely commented on the girl's FB and got her roused up.

I don't think it was exactly. You just seemed like you had a goal in all of this and it wasn't just to get a lip and then after you received a poor product to simply share this experience.

A quick search might have shown you that this isn't normal. Then you could have contacted the seller and returned the product and received a refund. Instead, it appears that your first step, or at least a parallel step was to come here and blast the product and seller. A seller of high regard and what some would even call a friend. Yes, maybe we could have responded in a less butt-hurt, whiny manner. Maybe you could have been less butt-hurt and whiny, too?

Yes, you received the response you did because most of us "know" the seller and product. The product you received is not typical, but hardly junk. In most opinions, that is, but not to you, which is fine. Sadly, I don't think the problem was with your "review" or opinion but with your language. It shouldn't matter but it might.

An honest review is fine but you stated that you call out forum vendors who are protected, presumably by the forum administrators. Wasn't that your true motive? Not to get products for your M5, not to review them but to gain opportunity to call out those vendors? Unfortunately, this appears to be your MO in other areas of the internet. Again, I don't know the details of those other forums - rules you might or might not have broken. Some of those rules are ridiculous.

Again, I hope you can find a lip to your satisfaction. I hope you actually do own an M5 and stick around here. I wish nothing but the best for a fellow M5 owner. You can be a contrarian without bring combative and yes, it goes both ways.
