I can understand you feeling this way - I am going to take it to the track and have some fun
There are plenty of pristine example in the world and this is not one of them.

Yeah I get it, stickers are silly. Easily removed. I like the painted bumper. I may paint it a less bright color.
It's funny thought, in the 911 community people are doing all kinds of stuff to pretty rare and expensive cars and no one really makes a fuss. Safari style, Mangus, RWB - I guess the M5 community is more reserved

Here are some more things I've done to make my car worse ; )

Rebuilt cooling system
valve cover gaskets
power steering hoses
master and booster
rebuilt calipers
ECS lines
copper bushings
I still need to get the tune removed from the dealership so that I can install the shark injector to do away with the SAI fault
Needless to say my inexpensive M5 has eaten up some money. Still very happy to have bought it.

I repaired the front "carbon fiber" = 90% fiberglass lip (seen on page 3) I glassed it back together and added an ABS splitter. I ordered some support rods for it, it will need them for sure.
I like the Jay Leno chin look of it

impatiently waiting for my planted seat brackets.......

Also, Found a 6lbs carbon trunk for sale by Axis Power Racing. I really want it!
I think after I take my Dad to Monterey Historics I think I will pull off the orange, and the front splitter. It's nice that it is not permanent. The splitter rubs on just about everything.

Had Sparcos in my old E30. Really liked how they felt. Of course I sold it before the bubble.

Installed the seats with Planted seat brackets and sliders.

I used a airbag seat occupancy bypass and used parts of the harness so that I don't get a seatbelt light. Halfway through the project I started to feel really guilty about pulling out the stock seats. The stock seats are really comfortable and great looking.
I need to commit to the fact that this car is never going back to stock. I would actually like to buy another M5 low milage example and have it all original.

Very happy with the way they feel. Firm and good bolster support. I fell like they match the interior pretty good.
