Lets start with the X-pipe. This is probably the least expensive way to get a deeper, slightly louder exhaust. I had it on my car for the better part of two years. It did get a little louder over time, but it actually helped with gas mileage and a little quicker on the acceleration as well. I actually have my x-pipe sitting in my garage if someone would like to purchase it at 1/2 price.

Adding the Powerchip upgrade to the x-pipe makes for a great improvement in driveability and acceleration. My car had 356hp at the rear wheels with this combination. I would highly reccommend this combination as a low cost upgrade for your car that gives a lot of bang for the buck

Mark,

I am definitely interested in the X-Pipe. Could you let me know what price you are looking for via email at [email protected].

Thanks,

Miles

Re: Sport Mode on at Start Up

About 3 years ago I made the post that Gustav has referred to in this thread. I've had the mod in my car ever since, and it has worked flawlessly. There were a few problems initially, but after they were resolved, it worked very reliably.

I have a Word document with a schema of the simple circuit, a description of the installation procedure, and a few pictures. I've already sent it to Miles. If someone else is interested, just send me an email through this board.

Hi MarcK! Since you have the schematic in a Word document, could you send it to me? I don't have 75 posts, so I can't PM you. But I have a website and could host it for everyone if I had it. If you could send it to me, that would be greatly appreciated! My e-mail is [email protected]

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. This thread is 14 years old and the Marck hasnít been on this site in 13 years. Perhaps another member will have what you need though.

Sport button memory is a simple software change, no hardware modifications are needed. You can either download the MSS5x binary modification tool (https://www.ecuworx.co.uk/) and MSSFlasher (or similar) for a small fee and do it yourself, or just buy a tune that can do the same thing.

Oh wow! That's so much easier than modifying the physical circuit! And I just looked it up, and you can also remove the 155 mph speed limiter with the MSS5x tool!!! That is amazing. Thank you roarf!
