Best Color for a M5 is Black on Black

Without a doubt, the best color for a M5 is Jet Black with Black interior and the titanium trim, not the wood and "lightly" tinted windows. This scheme simply screams....SPORTS CAR...........especially so when the windows are lightly tinted (don't leave that out).

Other colors might be nice and pretty on a 530 for your wife or something but you are buying this car to say to the world.........Im somebody.....so make sure your car says it and nothing but black does this as well. The next time you see the menacing butt end of a black M5 leave you in the dust, tell me I'm wrong.

For petes sake, don't worry about keeping it clean.......they all get dirty and half the fun of a real sports car is touching it....and rubbing it.....all soapy...sooooo clean.................................OMFG im getting a woody.

As a bonus you will have absolutely no problem reselling a black car either.

Jet Black with black interior is striking, but do you get luxury seats or sport package? What makes the titanium look better then the wood?

I think this topic can be very subjective but my favourite color is titanium silver. I like light colors because when the car gets dirty, it doesn't show as clearly as darker colors.

IMO, lighter colors bring out the sprit of the car.

the best color by far, when perfectly clean, is Jet Black on two tone Le Mans Blue/Black interior with AL trim

why? black is the best ext. color on the BEAST period.

two tone interior screams sport plus blue leather is very, very unique

AL adds to the 'sport'

these are facts, not opinions

When I ordered my car (way back in Dec. '99), the idiots at BMW in Prague had very few details on the M5. I took a trip to Frankfurt to pay a visit to a real dealership, ask some questions and actually get to see an M5 in person (mind you, I had already ordered the car from BMW Prague). I originally ordered Anthracite. The dealer in Frankfurt told me it would be a mistake to order the car in any color other than an M5 exclusive one. He said his favorite was carbon black. When he showed me the color, I immediately changed my order. So, for me at least, CB with black interior is the best choice
