Hey guys,

thinking of re-wrapping my Alpina wheel. Anyone else had any recent feedback about Royal Steering in the UK?

Wish they had something closer in Canada or US, the Dallas place doesnt look as good as the UK place..

How comfortable are you guys just shipping a steering wheel god knows where? Do you take a deposit from them or?

That's easy, Dallas Custom Steering Wheel or Coby Wheel in the U.S. They are a little pricey, but I've used Dallas Wheel on my F150 and it is excellent!

I got him to redo my steering wheel in December 2013. He did a first class job so i gave him a vinyl centre armrest which i bought for 40 (slide-able, with cubby hole) to wrap in leather. He charged only 45 for that and again, did a first class job. Both leathers match almost perfectly and still look amazing 10k miles later.

If you aren't comfortable doing that, or would rather do without not having a steering wheel for a few weeks, then just buy one off him pre-re-wrapped and send yours to him when you receive the new one, and he'll pay your deposit/surcharge back.

He's definitely still in business. Just saw a wheel he did very recently on another UK forum. Perhaps another email?
