Tuning: Epic Motorsports vs. Evolve

Has anyone here gotten Epic Motorsports tuning done for their M5? I'm considering Evolve also, but Epic says they have something available and they are a very well respected tuner also, so I'm not sure who to go with. Pricing on Epic is slightly better, and the availability is much better, but I don't know enough about the similarities and differences of the two yet.

I searched, but didn't really turn up much. I know many of you have Evolve....

What do you mean that they're available? Is Evolve not available?

Evolve is backordered - they're out of cables and I guess the guys over there are overloaded right now. They haven't responded to emails and website inquiries and PMs on this forum that I submitted a few days ago. Epic answers pretty fast and has them in stock. I'm not so much going to choose based on availability, but having someone reply back is quite comforting and helpful at least.

"Overloaded" right now is a fair statement. I have the Evolve stage 3 tune, headers and highflow cats, but it took almost five months to get the setup. Their focus maybe on the larger markets, i.e. M3's. Great product, I could not be happier!!!

I expect it would be worth the wait for the Evolve tune. Never heard of an Epic Motorsports tune for the E39 M5.

Think you would be safer with Evolve, they are established in the E39 M5 business, Epic not.

Maybe consider a Shark over the Evolve?

I haven't seen a vs. thread between them, but Turner Motorsports is a great BMW company and has apparently been making great changes w/the tune & has another change in the works...

On the flip side of that, I ordered back in December and had my headers within a couple weeks. Guess it was just good timing!

My vote is definitely for Evolve!
