Vanos Solenoid - anyone use Dr. Vanos to repair?

Anyone use Dr. Vanos to repair instead of replace? If so, how much and how did it work out? Thanks.

I did order and install the new gaskets and o-rings. The existing o-rings were extremely brittle and I'm sure needed to be replaced, but I did end up ordering new solenoids and installing them on my problem bank. That fixed the issue.

Many have had luck with fixing the solenoids, and I did try that but I was not able to get them to function fully. Mine just would give me an issue from starting the car through about 2 minutes of driving, then the symptoms would disappear.

The $100 fix is a good place to start, in addition to the CPSs.

If you're wanting to replace the O rings + gasket, stick with OEM. It took them several years to degrade like they have.
