Another question ...
Dinan S3s have oil cooler. Also Area51 Beasts have oil cooler.
My questions are:
1. Still you guys have that OEM heat exchanger (oil - water) on your cars or not?
2. Can anybody describe or post some pictures of the whole oil cooler setup please?
3. Dinan sells an Oil Cooler for M5 E39 and if yes ... any feedback on this?
I have some pictures of my oil cooler somewhere. It sits in front of my big air-water heat exchanger. Dinan's S3 set up is a small air-to-air charge cooler heat exchanger, and a giant oil cooler heat exchanger.
At the next Chi-town meet, I'll bring El Diablo and you can have a look.

1) No, the under plenum OEM heat exchanger (oil - water) goes away with Dinan S3 oil cooler. Heat soak issues are also eliminated.
2) It's a high capacity oil cooler, mounted at a 15 degree downward front angle between passenger side S/C air intake and driver side intercooler; with air flow coming from front, lower center grill; and front belly pan fabricated for mounting (see pic's).
AFAIK, it's the only E39 M5 oil cooler from Dinan; and was designed specifically for S3 application.
