E39 clutch position sensor switch problem

Hi I own a 1998e39 540i for over 8 years,i did allots of work to it over the time, it's been running well however, recently I been having clutch position sensor issue. Started last week my car would not start here and there and sometimes I can get it to start by taping on the clutch position sensor, then after a few days the car won't start at all... I realized there are some pieces failing off the sensor from being very old , so I ordered a new sensor and installed it but my car still won't start, I m now looking in to by passing the sensor but I have 0 idea how it can be done, look for any good tips or if you any shops in the bay area that can do this kind of mod 🙂
