i wonder if his reserve was too high for BaT. And i agree, worth more if brought back to stock condition. A no-sunroof 3.8 is quite rare in the US, and people like daytona, generally. I think this car also had an interior swap at some point as well.

Here it is again.....

Euro 1993 BMW M5 | Bring a Trailer

I had a look at it and here is what I see. The trim is wrong, that is not Euro trim, the seats from the VIN call for electric with memory and in the pictures and description they are manual. The sunshades from the rear quarter windows are missing. The Alcantara headliner is not original to the car.........the owner seems to think that it is. The EDC is missing, which, to me, detracts from the value of the car.

Makes you wonder.......

For a low mileage car, it definitely doesn't have the right stuff to command a premium. It's a HELL of a set-up I would rock, though, and likely not blink at paying $15k+ for being 3.8, low mileage, desirable stuff, etc. We'll see!

As Mike said, the reserve could be way up there and this won't move even on BaT.

And no pertinent information like what's working, what's not, and what, if anything needs attention. I've sold vehicles on CL and it takes about 20 minutes to take 10 photographs and write a decent description. I may offer him $700 just to piss him off!

As you see it has euro cluster with mph speedo so cluster is tampered for sure.

But if car works and feels good it would be good for driving, not collectors item.

I've used BaT a couple times, and they wont let you set any reserve you want, they want to move the merchandise, so i doubt his reserve is too high.

I agree, rebuild the EDC and reinstall, i'd put stock lights back on, and i think the value would go up.

Yes should have power memory seats, but honestly manual seats are nice and less issues. Same thing happened with my silver 3.8, was originally a buffalo hide car with power memory seats, column, sunshades. Somewhere all of that went missing and it's just black manual heated leather. Still a great driver, though it hurts the collector value.

Like Eero says, i'd really want to research the milage, at least make sure the coding plug in the cluster matches the vin. Many times when these were imported to the US a full US cluster was swapped in.
