BMWWGN,

One last question: would you by any chance know the part number for the 17" Style 5 wheel? Or which model utilized this wheel so that I can try to figure out the part number? Sorry for the hassle.

Best regards,
Slfan

Style 5 17 inch with 15mm spacers and a set of Pilot sports, with these after much trial and error buy a set of Hubcentric spacers from Turner which will give you the correct hub bore of 72.6 to 74mm,this is better than hub centric rings.

The 17" style 5s shown above are most likely off of the e39 5 series cars. There were alot of different wheels designs available throughout the years that chassis was sold. Style 5s, 42s and 32s are my personal favorites, but wheel design is a personal choice so that's up to you. One thing to keep in mind, as I believe was referenced before is that any wheels for the e39 chassis have a different (larger) bore diameter and require the use of hub centric rings (or special spacers). This isn't a big deal and works well. Just want to make sure you are aware of it. If you search for e39 (or 528, 530 or 540) 17" wheels, you should find plenty of selection. Good luck and keep us posted.

BTW, I am envious of your garage list. Please post pictures.

Eric
