2006 BMW M3 – 91,000 Miles DFW, TX

I am moving to Boston and will be selling my 2006 BMW M3. I am asking $18,000 which includes the vehicle as it sits, along with the OE 18” anthracite wheels (fronts have old tires on them, rears have no tires). I have owned this car for over 5 years (since 50,000 miles) and am the second owner. The car is very sound mechanically and very good cosmetically. I have performed extensive maintenance and used only high-quality OE/OEM+ replacement parts when needed. I have proactively addressed most known failure points and have had an excellent ownership experience. I will be very sad to sell this car, but I do not want it to be destroyed in the New England winters or by poor quality roads and what I hear are very frustrating driving conditions. I will list out key features and major maintenance items below, this is not a fully exhaustive list, but I will attempt to cover all of the major points.

Key car features:
2006 with 91,000 miles (this will go up approx. 30-50 miles per week as I use it 1-2 days per week for commuting)
SMG transmission with TTFS (CSL) tune
Titanium Silver exterior
Black leather interior with aluminum trim
Apex EC-7 anthracite 18x9.5 ET27 wheels all around with 12.5mm spacer in rear (OE 18” staggered anthracite wheels included with purchase)
Michelin PSS 265/35/18 all around with 25-30% tread left (30,000 miles due to ability to fully rotate all 4 corners)
ECS extended wheel stud conversion to make wheel removal and tire rotation much easier and provide proper clearance for rear spacer
Airbag recall performed on both driver and passenger side
Nav system, folding rear seats (plus standard options)

Key maintenance/replacement parts during my ownership:
VANOS cryo hub and Beisan disc replacement (65,000 miles)
TTFS engine and transmission tune with intake temp relocation kit (65,000 miles)
Rear axle carrier panel (subframe) reinforcement with welded Turner plates (60,000 miles with no cracks at replacement time)
Bilstein PSS10 coilover suspension with dial adjustable damping (60,000 miles)
Z4 RTABs with Delrin limiters (60,000 miles)
Poly subframe bushings (60,000 miles)
Rubber diff bushings to limit NVH (60,000 miles)
Solid transmission mounts to remove drivetrain slop (60,000 miles)
CPV valve and o-ring replacement (60,000 miles)
SMG clutch slave cylinder replacement (55,000 miles)
Valve adjustment (65,000 miles, 2 valves minorly out of spec at the time)
New spark plugs (65,000 miles)
Centric cryo treated rotors all around (60,000 miles)
OE BMW pads all around (60,000 miles)
ECS stainless steel brake lines (60,000 miles)
Coolant thermostat replacement and coolant flush (85,000 miles)
Top coolant line and small return line replaced with ECS silicone (85,000 miles, bottom hose will be included but not replaced as I was planning to do this when the radiator eventually gets replaced later down the line).
New drive belts (65,000 and 85,000 miles)
Engine air filter replacement (65,000 miles and 80,000 miles)
Diff fluid, transmission, and brake fluid changes every 2 years (last performed in fall 2017)
Regular 5,000 miles oil and filter changes with Castrol TWS 10w-60 (next one due in 3,500 OBD miles or approx. 2,500 real miles)
I have multiple Blackstone reports as well which I will post below. The copper spike on the 65,000 mile change is likely linked to the VANOS replacement as I did have one broken tab (still in disc)

Pictures will be posted below. Please contact me via the forum or my Gmail address at Jason.E.Lindeman (usual suffix removed to avoid email bots). Happy hunting!

PS – I also have a 2006 E60 M5 for sale here

Please excuse the rust on the rotors, the car had been freshly washed for the pictures and I had not moved it prior to taking them.

Thank you, hard to let go, but it will greatly limit my options in Boston if I keep it (would need good garage, storage over winter, etc.) I would keep it another 10+ years if I were staying here, but I believe cars should be driven regularly, not stored away forever.

I have a sale pending from the M3forum and will update status here.

M3 is sold. I will miss it, but it has gone to a caring owner.
