Well the time has come, after owning 4 E39 M5's its time for a change. So with a heavy heart I'm putting the car up for sale. 2003 M5 Lemans Blue with the Black/Blue two tone sport interior. Round 88k on the clock, every piece of maint done on this car by me(10yr BMW tech with OCD when it comes to the care of my cars). Every fluid flushed several times, all filters, I've pulled panels down under the wheel wells and undercoated and seam sealed every spot I could find, I even POR15 the nuts and bolts on the suspension after I replace something so they don't rust, yeah OCD, I know.
Cars has 4 almost new Mich PS AS3's, new brakes all around, clutch, you name it, I've replaced it. Doesn't use a drop of oil or leak a drop of fluid anywhere. All that stuff has been done, rear main/front crank seal, valve cover gaskets, done. Never abused, ever. No dumping the clutch launches or burnouts, long past that stuff.
Has a few mods but nothing thats over the top or too custom. Still lots of things that can be done, modded, changed. So we have ESS VT550 SC, Stoptech front 6pot BBK, Supersprint Headers, custom 4 resonator exhaust to Corsa mufflers, has a great tone, quite when you want it to be and loud when you want it. Suspension is Bilstein with Dinan springs.
What you also get with the car if you want it is lifetime tech support from me(hopefully for many years to come
) and if you choose all the stock parts I have for the car and all the extra E39 M5 parts I have laying around which is proabably $1k or more.
So much to say about the car but don't want to write a novel here. If you're interested get in touch with me. Here are a few pics but i'll take some good recent ones tomorrow and post them. As for the price, I need $25k for the car. I think that is a real fair price considering the condition, care/maint, and the extras. Can you find a cheaper M5, sure. Will it be as nice? no. Loved and cared for like mine, no. Bear in mind that you can drop a lot of money really fast on of these cars if it needs work. This car needs nothing but gas and a new owner who will love and enjoy the car as much as I have.
