Please steer clear of this lemon boys! Sam is a very dodgy person in the way he deals with people and the cars he sells. FYI the car does not have 120,000kms, it has 350,000kms on the clock. The car was involved in a horrendous front end accident, where I was told it was poorly repaired. He has advertised this on ebay, carsales, autocar website and so forth with no luck. I wonder why http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/...seot=1&__N=834 1216 1246 1247 1252 1282 4294966843 4294729565 4294967079&silo=1011

MUST KEEP AWAY!

I spoke to him over the phone before I knew this. Very very dodgy even over the phone. What happened to the guy who lost $2K?!

I totally agree, The funny thing is, we at the clubs meeting started talking about cars and I was expressing my sadness that someone has already paid a deposit for the car and I missed out again. one of the guys admitted he paid the deposit and said if I was keen He can pass it to me. I was very happy then, as the price was a bargain (that was before we knew he was a fraud). anyway, he told me his conversation with the owner and the story did not match with what I have been informed, it started to sound a bit weird and worrying. Luckily my girlfriend was at Sydney at the time and told her to go and view it, of course that took a lot of convincing but she agreed. she was shocked with the state of the car, wheels were curbed like there is no tomorrow, even the spokes had dings in them. the info on the car through RTA says it was in an accident before (the owner claims it was mended properly). April inspected the side that was fixed and put her hand inside the wheel arch to find out that the liner is damaged. oh dear i say. also there was oil deposits in the tail pipes and via the dip stick it was black. window regulators for the drivers side did not work properly. I asked April to take photos but the owner refused claiming he is paranoid and its a rare car. ya right!!! also if you would notice the vehicles front bumper does not have any headlamp washers, even though through the option list I have checked it states it comes with the car (meaning something happened there as well).

Guys his car is worth $5.00 to be honest. Even in the photos, you can see oil residue left on the engine cover. The colour of the front wheels are darker than the rear, which means recent refurbishment. Very dodgy! It was dumped in a backyard in Granville. I don't even think it would be worth keeping as a parts car.

Looks very very dodgy. There were 225 RHD built in Oz configuration, not 100; some went to NZ but most landed in Oz. 2595 RHD built in total. He claims it's done 1 km; sheesh. Wheels are different colours, has update headlights on a 1999 model, no mention of Vorsteiner style lip. M badge on grille is non factory too.

Driver's side fender has ripples compared to passenger side ( in the channel were the bonnet fits), drivers side windscreen wiper is broken, or has a loose piece. Door shut lines appear inconsistent. Maybe BenTong could have a look for you? Ben, where are you??

Gords, lucky you PM'd me. I'm not very active on forums anymore. It's either an oil thread, some muppet who doesn't bother searching or someone wanting credit for plastidipping their wheels black.

Anyway, that car looks like a piece of sh*t. We know it's an M5, we get the point Reiterating what's already been said, headlights aren't OEM, rear wheels are repainted/replicas, windscreen wiper looks broken. Terrible combination of colours too. Avus Blue, Red leather and wood grain. hahahaha. Anyone who writes the description all in upper case with spelling errors already looks bad in my eyes. God, am I in a b*tchy mood today. But if anyone really wants to have a look at it I can do so for you, but not before telling you to not buy it and wait for another. I'll rock up on my scooter and see what kind of awesome sale pitch he'll cast on me and then just tear it to pieces during a test drive.

Agree with it not being good as a parts car either. All the engine internals are probably in a dismal state. I wonder if it will spin a bearing on a test drive?

Gordon, I was told by BMW Australia that only 500 E39 M5's came to Oz. All I can say ben is you are always right when it comes to M5's. You know your **** just as much as the others! dimi_108 has a few words for this prick (Sam).

Hi Robert,

2595 rhd were built worldwide, but only 225 in ADR (australian spec) when I spoke to BMW Australia in Melbourne HQ. But I could be wrong or misinformed; it's happened before, and it'll no doubt happen again ....

I was just looking at your profile, and it says 2002 E39 M5. Does that mean you have one of the last gens?
