USA Alpina B12 5.7 Restoration

After importing the car in late 2014, I am almost finished with the restoration of our Alpina B12 5.7. It is 1 of 2 in the USA. After federalization the car was totally taken down to bare metal and repainted. #52 has quite a history, which I won't get into here, but needless to say I have tried to take it back to a more stock appearance.

In addition to the car being repainted, the interior was redone. As OEM carpeting in NLA, I had custom carpeting made to replace the white carpet the car had, which was very impractical in my view. The new carpeting is very deep cark blue, which matches the trim. The trunk was redone with OEM pieces sourced from England. The engine compartment was gone through and sorted.

I just have some small interior work to finish in the console after chasing down an intermittent electrical issue which I finally traced to a fusable resistor. It took almost 12 hours of electrical troubleshooting to find, but I think this was the answer to the intermittent problem.

The car is now stripped with Gold Alpina stripes.

Once I get the car out of the garage I will take some pictures and post.

lets try this again...
B12 5.7 #52. One of 57 Alpina B12 5.7 cars produced, and 1 of 2 in the US. I have owned it since late 2013. Imported in Feb 2014. Federalized by 101 Innovations. Restoration started in late 2014.

That is our CSi in the background waiting it's turn for restoration. The paint was just finished.
