What do you guys recommend upgrading interior xenon lights? Let me know what you guys think about these.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

I also want to upgrade my OEM xenons (4300k) to 6000k or possibly 8000k. I have 6000k xenon foglights.

Any respond will be great
Thanks,

6000 is pure white. 8000 gets into the blue/purple realm. what you have to balance is as you go higher, and the light looks cooler, it doesn't throw light as far. i've upgraded all mine to 6000. anything else looks very "dirty" to me now.

next thing to do is upgrade to pure white interior LEDs!

good luck!

I'll be interested in doing the interior upgrade sometime. Not LED, but definitely to get rid of the yellow tone that OEM has.

this is the post you want to use. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=88288&highlight=interior+led+upgrade . whattheheck has done some great lighting mods and has done a superb job documenting them. don't be afraid to dig in and do them. they are simple.

the LEDs are simple to upgrade, either they are a direct swap or simply tearing out a plastic spacer in the light holder.

and here's a follow-up upgrade for your door and trunk lighting as well. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=87696&highlight=interior+led+upgrade.

bulbs for all the replacements will run your about $130 or so. but well worth it. good luck!

If you choose not to go the LED route the Bimmian kit is a good one. I've gone three years w/o a single bulb failure, whereas most of the blue interior bulbs I sourced from a ricer accessory store prior to installing the Bimmian bulb failed between six months and a year.

+1. The Bimmian interior light kit gives the interior a clean 'xenon' look at a reasonable price. Recommended. :M5thumbs:

I replaced all my interior lights and door courtesy lights with white LEDs and am really happy with the result... except for the main cabin light up front. It's just not bright enough. I'm thinking of doing a mod and retrofitting a couple of those "6 LED panels" in there instead; one pointing down to get a beam, and another pointing up to reflect off the interior mirror and get some spread to the rest of the cabin.

We don't have some of them on the site, but we do have the best price/value for the HID fogs and HID low beams:)

if you follow the instructions on the links that i posted from whattheheck up in post #2, he shows how to install two lights in the main cabin housing, thereby getting twice the light. i have 1 bulb in my main housing right now, and just am not sure if i want two yet. but if i did, the instructions are there and easy to follow...
