I can't find it anywhere .... do you guys remove stock H-pipe as well when installing x-pipe instead of a stock resonator? I think its h-pipe which no one ever mentions. If so any negatives of having both?

Yeah its one or the other, not both. I prefer a x-pipe for better flow.

My guess would be a H pipe is cheaper to manufacturer and makes little difference hence why bmw uses it.

Stock Section 1 = Secondary Cats
Stock Section 2 = Resonator AND H-pipe
Stock Section 3 = Exhaust/Mufflers

Most aftermarket
Section 1 = secondary cat delete (straight pipe) OR resonator
Section 2 = X-pipe
Section 3 = Exhaust/Mufflers

All I'm doing is removing resonator and welding x-pipe instead and i was trying to find out if i should remove stock H-pipe or not

I removed my h pipe, added the x pipe, which replaces the resantor, didn't make a big sound difference till I messed with the muffler's.
