I'm looking to wire a couple of things into my M5's electrical system, and I'm trying to make sure I know what I'm doing with the wiring diagrams. From what I understand, terminal "30" is always battery+ and "31" is ground or battery-. However, on the wiring diagram I'm looking at, there's also a wire marked "30<5" and one marked "31L<6". What do the "<5" and "L<6" mean in this case?

Check out the "Signals" section of WDS near the end of the menu. Those numbers are designations for signals passing between components.

30<5 means battery power from fuse F5. Do a search for "F5" to get more info.

31L<6 means battery ground, terminal 6.
