I checked the fuse. 30 amp fuse is good and i changed it just for good measure. Still nothing. Could this be a good sign of the wiper just went belly up?

hmm did not think about that. Do you happen to know where the relay is for the wipers are? I have already done the fuses bit. No Dice.

I reset the wiper relay and all is well.

Their under the drivers side (US) polen filter box....so you will have to remove the box then get into the relay box....
