I wonder if the spline is the same. As my tensioning motor has self-destructed a few teeth again I wonder if I can be a cheapa*s and just fit a new spring loaded arm meant for a car with the tensioner......

Nice :biggrinbounce: Very nice!

Am driving around with that bodge myself, but have no wiping action worth mentioning over 160km/h. Unfortunately that's quite a pain in the neck @ NS, as I prefer to use the 5er in the wet there to reduce wear....

Did fitting a new spring help?

A new spring did help, but still not that effective at high speeds,I rely on the wind then! wonder if just the spring from the 520 arm would help? Could it be heavier and are the mounting pegs in the same place?

This isn't something I know much about, other than the fact that my wipers are lousy at just about any speed. How can you test if the electric tensioner thingy is working ok?
