The 17" M5 wheels will clear the later brakes, but I can't vouch for any other 17" wheel.

Will 17" alloy wheels clear the big 4 pot calipers on a 95 E34 M5???

Yes, the 17 inch Throwing Stars will defiantly fit. I know because my 95 Touring had lost it's Parallel wheels and was fitted with Throwing Stars when I bought it (took ages to find correct Parallels)

They should, depends on wheel design and more specifically backspace/offset.
Do you have the wheel specs? At worst, you will need some spacers up front to clear struts.

Don't have the specs with me but it an original BBS/BMW split rim think its called type 42 it made for E34 and from memory the offsets is like the system II on the front wheels.

I bourght them new but very cheap last year they are still in the box ;-) but then I decided to upgrade to the later type brakes.

Will just have to test fit everything when I get home in 3 weeks time. Can't wait ;-)

...or, these Type 42s (two piece)...

Although neither specify e34 fitment.
