Hello there all,

My name is Tim, 27, and i'm from Hengelo the Netherlands.
I'm a full time student at the moment, civil engineering and my finalyear project is constucting a bascule bridge.

I live together with my girlfriend Monique (love of my life)
And own a 1989 E30 320i Touring (converted to 325i) and thats my first BMW but not the last i hope. Also restoring a 1980 Mini Clubman Estate and that is on the last fase in the build.

Me and my GF

I'm not owning a M5 atm and maybee never will but always liked the look of the E34 M5T and E30 M3's.

Since i've met Another Ray (the topic starter) and seen his and his mate's M5 in the flesh i'm reading alot on this forum.<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_1234671", true); </SCRIPT> And when work and housing allows i hope to buy a nice M5 Touring some day.

So till that time i have to do it with the E30 (very nice car i must say)
Hope that i can make it to the Meet to see the other members M5's.
Well that will be it for now.

One of my mates (used to be on here, he had a 3.8 M5) now has a black E30 touring "VADER" - 2.8 Vanos engine, lots of other trick bits, race seats, etc - I was out in it the other week, absolutely awesome car ... and so light ... really flies on that engine!

Here is his site about the car if you're interested...

your gf's got some amazing blue eyes...and you've got an amazing blue touring :applause:
I will tell her that, she's just totally amazing girl. Touring is not that good as it looks on the pic's but hey its a 6in-line 2.5 boat anchor and it drives lovely.

So who am I,:dunno:

Family man with wife and 3 kids, daughter of 11 and a set of 2.5 year old twins, boy and girl.

Profession, a mechanical engineer by trade but currently run a regional supply chain for one of the major lubricant companies

Passions - my cars and bikes, particularly my off road bikes.
I like nothing better than spending a day trail riding with mates, exploring the 1000s of km of trails just beyond my back door. I used to race the SA National Offroads (how I picked my user name), but too much work and family commitments to get back into it. Suggested to the wife I wanted to start racing again - I should rather have told her I was having an affair with a secretary at workouich, would have had a more positive reaction.

anyway, some arbitary pics.

(Ran some offroad riding tours as a side line. The pic is a snapshot from a video, friend on my right is an ex SA champ who was tragically killed in the Dakar Rally just over a year ago:crying2:)

Congrats Chas - fatherhood is certainly a very special thing - even if it does limit somewhat time with our cars!

Cheers

Thanks guys. Didn't mean to hijack the thread - sorry! His name is Lewis, a wee brother to Fraser. It's already been pointed out on another board that we're naming our kids after department stores. We'd not noticed that one :hihi:

Hello!

I'm Alun (yes, spelt with a U - it's Welsh!) I registered on here quite some time ago! 2003! been busy with uni a lot so not been about much! So I guess this is my first introduction.

I'm 25, in my final year of uni, with my significant other Nicole for coming up on three years, she's the one for me too!

I'm an interior architect, Ideally specialising in existing old buildings, researching and rebuilding them to their former glory. I've been brought up with BMW's, mainly e28's and e34 when I was a boy. My dad was a mechanic who specialised in them so there was an abundance around my house of different models. :)

Other than uni, I work all the time. I don't know how I do it! Anyway, I work in the theme park industry, I make, build, design signage for theme parks. I take photos for them too! and I run an admission area of a small park, where I have 7 staff. I also take photos for weddings when I can fit it in.

So! in my second year of uni, i saw a 1994 e34 525iSE (sorry its not an M) but I do love it to bits, and i'll never sell it. It's currently at 173,000 miles, I got it with 140,000 and it's never let me down. It's my first BMW thats mine, even thought i've had the chance to drive Alpinas, M's and AC Schnitzers in the garage as a boy, they weren't mine, sadly.

Here I am, with my other half!

An example of a sign I built, it's roughly 8ft by 4ft (1220mm x 2440mm) The largest has been 16ft long!!!! :-|

Some work:
A tourist information 'POD' for NY.

Some 3D work, base model. AutoCAD/3DS Max/Vray

- messing around with materials, still not too good though. Getting better!

A womens shop called 'denim' - concept sketch

An Album Cover Design for 'Castro'

Some Photography - My sisters eye!

Last, but not least... the e34

Sorry for the REALLY long post, I got a little carried away! :)

Hope to learn more M stuff here!
