I just got an 06 M5 and am looking into an exhaust. I really like the Eisenmann sound but not the price. I am looking for an F1 sound, however, under normal driving I dont want to hear the exhaust, but when I punch it a bit I want that Ferrari/F1 sound like you get from the Eisenmann or the Meistershcaft.

So what are your suggestions? I have looked at a ton of exhausts but it is very hard to determine which is louder on youtube.

RPI, Rogue, or UUC for the M5? Your words on the sound or any issues you may have had with them would be much appreciated. Also, should I buy direct or through a local dealer (Bay Area). Any word on installers in the Bay Area?

From my understanding, UUC is Corsa, correct? If so, here the order of loudness. I have heard them all in person.

Corsa loudest of all three.
RPI is 2nd in loudness
Rouge Engineering is the most quiet one.

My next consideraton would be performance, and I think RPI has better performance.

Quality, they all the same, IMO.

So I am guessing AA = Corsa = UUC?

I am a bit confused.

Rabdog - in your video is that just a corsa exhaust or have you done stage 1 and 2 as well?

If your looking just for mufflers, RPI is the best bang for the buck. If you want a complete section 1, 2 and 3 then I would consider RPI and ASR. They both show proven gains and excellent customer service. For install I would check out BR Racing in Los Gatos or Sonic Motorsport in Mountain View.

My concern about the rpi is that it is not as loud as the corsa?
RPI section3 alone will not be as loud as Corsa. Member "Mandisa" just switch from Corsa to RPI, and I think his Corsa is for sale if you interested. Also you can ask him for feedback.

Also, Rab Dog's AA exhaust is full section1/2/3. It sound very nice and it's a bargain as well.

Tough choice.??????

I am thinking of parting with my Dinan Section 3 if you're interested in that. Great sound @ WOT, no drone, and very close to stock under 4000 RPM. PM me if interested.

I have E-race but if I were to change it, I would go RPI. Those guys are genius! Just an opinion but your best bet would be to take advantage of YouTube and really study them! Good luck!

I hear a lot of good things about rpi, why rpi over corsa or rogue, my understanding is that rpi doesn't have as much of the f1 sound as corsa or rogue?

Out of your selection that you have stated you're indecisive over, RPI, in my opinion, has some of the finest people making the finest products for our vehicle. I've been to their shop, I've met all of them, I know their products very well, and the saying "You get what you pay for" doesn't match up with their product because you're getting MORE than you pay for with their awesome prices. Also, they're LOCAL.

My favorite SOUND wise are in this order:
Eisenmann
ASR
RPI

These are just my OPINIONS.

Rab Dog's $1800 is a great deal on the AA system

I have the AA system and think it is a great mix of better sound and F1 amazing under throttle

I think the idea with the RPi system is that you can add components
to make it louder. If section 3 isn't loud enough then add section 2.
Still not loud enough? Get section 1 straight pipes. The nice part is
their components aren't ridiculously priced.

My opinion is that the modular form is the downside of ASR. From my
understanding the ASR exhaust is a header back system. But it's
understandable that they would want to sell you all or nothing. From
all indications it seems like mixing exhaust components can yield less
than optimal results.

I currently have the Rogue Engineering section three and it was too quiet so I added an x-pipe. Id day based if you are looking for great sound, check out Rab Dog's deal as its a steal. Rogue is not too F-1 ish. Just a bit louder than stock.

Get the ASR Gen II and never look back. According to the techs at Leith BMW here in NC, after hearing and seeing the exhaust on my car: "This is how it should have come from the factory".

The ASR sounds more American muscle car then european F1.

Im waiting to find out if the Corsa's whp issue has been worked out. If I am only doing cans I don't want to lose any whp.

Anybody know if the Corsa whp loss has been worked out that?

They do sound nice, but the cars I've been in with ASR exhaust have so much drone, I don't see how you guys can take a long trip, don't you get headaches? :D
