My car's lower window trim is faded and not nice, looking to replace this part if they are available for a reasonable cost. Also potentially re painting, any suggestions or places to find this new trim. Also been reading it can be a real pain to get off, anyone have any tips . Thanks!

I recently removed and refinished all of the window trim with SEM Trim Black, which gives the "shadowline" look. The lower pieces are easy to bend as you remove them, unfortunately. A wooden wedge or shim is useful to try to gently pry at either end, hopefully breaking the seal loose before the metal bends. Some of the pieces are still available new from BMW, if that appeals to you.
