I've had the wpc treated bearings in the car for over 30k miles now. Are they not so good on the crank? When might I want to get fresh bearings in there? It's an 07 with 103k miles daily driver. Thx

Personally, I'm planning to keep changing mine every 60k miles regardless of type.

Based on the way mine looked at 14k, I'd say no more than 50k.

Can't say if it was the WPC treatment that accelerated the wear, but on the principle of operation hardness shouldn't matter if the bearing is spec'd properly to allow the correct film layer to be established.
