So, I'm all for preventative maintenance, and with the little miles I drive, when I reach 55k miles, (I'm at 43k), I'm planning on rebuilding my tranny at home. Now, when I've looked at the price of parts to rebuild my tranny, (clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, clutch release bearing, PCLD, etc.), it almost seems like at Troy's modest $2500, (last I saw for a rebuilt tranny), it would just make more sense to buy a new tranny from Troy and hook it up, haha. Call me silly, but it just seems like less hassle.
Am I being too paranoid by wanting to replace all these parts and thinking about a tranny rebuild all wrong, or am I making any sense? As always, thanks everyone, for input!
