Have shipping rates gone nuts? Or is it a holiday-season thing? I haven't sold or shipped anything as big/heavy as a set of wheels in a long time. I'm trying to unload a set from my Subaru - they're 17x7" so not too big, and at 20lbs each aren't that heavy. I've been assuming an 18" square box, and upped the weight a few pounds each to do my estimating. Buyer is admittedly in WA state and I'm in OH so it's a big distance, but the cheapest rate I'm getting is $50 per wheel from FedEx. USPS and UPS both want more like $60 a wheel.

Not sure I can make a sale with shipping being $200 and up. Last time I did this it was under $100 and that was for a set of 18 inch wheels.

Is there something I'm missing?

I think that's pretty standard for wheels - Most people go for a local/regional sale. Or it's wheels that are expensive enough, or hard enough to find, to make it worthwhile. I think you may be able to save a little money if you ship them all together. Box them individually and strap them together?
