Thanks for your help in advance.

Fronts will need a spacer. Rears will fit fine. For reference, my HREs are

20x9et+9
20x10.5et+28

My fronts could go more aggressive, possibly 0 offset or maybe even negative for a more flush look.

Any worries as far as caliper fitment?

Can't help you there...it varies by wheel if they will clear specific calipers depending on how the spokes are arranged.

Just to guess though, if it's monoblock you should probably be okay. If it's multi-piece with lip, then you will have to do some more research.

You could always go on the safe side and print out the StopTech caliper templates to ensure they will clear. That should clear a BBK or stock calipers.

yes 72.6mm. The e39 M5 is weird and has 74.1mm center bore.

$1600 delivered, with Hancook V12, 255/305. Wheels setup has less than 300 miles. Not sure if I love them, but for the deal, seems ok?

haha gotta provide more details, bro.

what type of wheels and what's the tread on the tires? you say 300 miles so i'm assuming brand new, but i haveta ask.

if you don't love them then don't buy them.

What brand are these wheels? I wouldn't just say $1600 is a steal, but would want to find out what wheels these are first. I guess I can assume the tires are still new at 300 miles though. You have pictures of the exact wheels? Also, your front will need a spacer for your front with those dimensions.

Vossen VFS-2 20x9 +20 and 20x10.5 +27
Hankook Venture V12 255 / 305 setup.
Fronts will need a spacer. 10-15mm should do. Rear offset will be fine, but may rub depending on your suspension and alignment setup.
