Sounds pretty noisy, obviously you're worried about the potential VANOS issue. As I understand it, when a VANO unit starts to go bad you do get power loss at low RPM and lumpy idle. Are there any other things that you have noticed in terms of how it drives? Vanos seems quite complicated to get in and out, and it's expensive to replace. Mr Vanos is your best bet here in the UK. I think they are based in Darlington.

...did you feed your car Green-Oil and filters?

1st
Compliments on the Green plenum and valve covers

as to the sound
it kinda sounds like VANOS rattle - the noise is muffled a bit though

i haven't got any problem with powerfull, it's strange , for vanos it's possible to rebuilt them, i'm not worried with that

sounds just like my car, very diesel like. Just VANOS noise.
